With the Emmy Awards show coming up soon, TV fans are excited to see who received nominations for this year. The 62nd Annual Prime Time Emmy Awards Show nominations were announced earlier this morning with some surprising results.

One thing that did not come as a surprise is how many nominations the show Glee received. The show managed to be nominated for 19 different awards; which is the most of any show for this year.

Some of the awards that Glee was put up for include: Outstanding Comedy, Outstanding Lead Actor In a Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actress In a Comedy Series, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series, and a lot more.

Glee’s Matthew Morrison will be competing against other popular television actors to take home the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series Award. His competition includes Jim Parsons from The Big Bang Theory, Larry David from Curb Your Enthusiasm, Tony Shalhoub from Monk, Steve Carrell from The Office, and Alec Baldwin from 30 Rock.

In the Drama genre, it will be interesting to see what show takes home the Outstanding Drama Series Award for this year. Nominees for the award include: Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Good Wife, Lost, Mad Men and True Blood.

Glee’s competition for the Outstanding Comedy Series Award includes: Curb Your Enthusiasm, Modern Family, Nurse Jackie, The Office, and 30 Rock.

Betty White’s amazing Saturday Night Live hosting experience received some recognition for her outstanding performance earlier this year.

Emmy lovers will have to wait until August 29th at 8 p.m. (EST) to find out who will take home the honors for this year.

Jimmy Falon will be hosting the awards show this year; his incredibly personality promises to make the Emmy awards a must-see during this year’s award season.
