I am not a pundit of Sino-American relations, but I thought that it was going well between the two countries.

Reuters is reporting that relations between China and the United States could be much better because the former thinks that the latter is not treating it as an equal partner. Plain meaning: we are now Hegemony and should be treated accordingly.

No one knows if the Chinese voiced these sentiments privately to the Obama Administration, but we are certain that these words were aired in one of its mouthpiece official newspapers.

At the heart of the Chinese griping is the first claim that Washington does not respect its' sovereignty, because we are interfering in its dispute over the South China Sea.

The Chinese also said that the United States “disses” them when we sell weapons to Taiwan, a territory China still claims as part of the Main Land; and in addition, the Chinese took umbrage to the United States criticism over the recent dispute with Google over censorship. Last, but not least, the ongoing dispute over the floating of its' currency.

The Chinese went on to say that instability between us and them is not good and that it will not only affect bilateral relations, but will affect the world in general.  Notice that the threats were not blatant, but nonetheless threats as to who holds the aces.

There were no mentions of who funds our debts and who holds a disproportionate amount of our bonds – but the Chinese need not do so. The message was clear and the world must take note that China is the new Super Power on the block and the United States must and better recognize this.
