[/caption]MTV News is reporting that teen singing idol, Justin Bieber, is enlarging his talents by guest starring in the new season premier of “CSI.” No one knows if Justin will end up with a toe tag, but we know that he will be a troubled kid.
We must not underestimate the youngster, because he recently beat out Lady Gaga in a popularity contest. Ratings are what count in television, and whether the “CSI” producers choose Mr. Bieber because of his popularity, or the fact that they have teenage daughters who love the young pop star, he is quite a “get” for any television show.
I am curious to see if the commercials placed on the Bieber’s “CSI” episode will cost more than usual… you know, like those airing during the Super Bowl? If Mr. Beiber garners unusually huge numbers, look to see imitators, like a Lady Gaga on the Fox musical show “Glee.”
I wonder how many of Bieber’s fans are old enough to watch “CSI”? I supposed that even if the subject matter of the episode is not fit for the teenage crowd to watch, they would have still found a way to see it.
I have the distinct feeling that sociologists might weigh in by pointing to the Justin Bieber's episode, as a pivot, is great for parents and teenagers bonding.
I hope that his acting is akin to his musical skills… not that I know anything about his particular skills in music or otherwise, but for the legions of teenagers who will be tuning in to “CSI”, they will give their biased thumbs up. These teenagers will not be looking at delivery or cadence or any of the indices, which are part and parcel of the art of acting, but on his looks.
One thing is certain, that the “CSI” season premiere will garner much of the teen age crowd- this may even propel Mr. Bieber into the movies, ala a young Elvis.
