The fourth tropical storm in the last eleven days has formed in the Atlantic, Tropical Storm Gaston. Gaston is moving along west at 15 miles per hour with 14 mile per hour winds. There are no current warnings in effect that related to Gaston, however, if he continues moving west there will be soon.

Gaston is forecast to slow down in forward speed in the next few days, however, he is expected to strengthen slowly in the next 48 hours.

Hurricane Earl is moving northwest at 17 miles per hour. Earl went back up to being a category 4 hurricane a bit earlier today with winds of up to 135 miles per hour. Hurricane Earl is described as a "dangerous and large hurricanee" by the National Hurricane Center.

There are a lot of watches and warnings in effect for Hurricane Earl:

A hurricane warning is in effect for:

Bogue Inlet North Carolina northeastward to the North Carolina.Virginia border, including the Pamlico and Albemarle sounds.

A hurricane watch is in effect for:

North of the North Carolina/Virginia border to Cape Henlopen Delaware, and Woods Hole to Sagamore Beach Massachusetts, including Vineyard and Nantucket.

A tropical storm warning is in effect for:

From Cape Fear to west of Bogue Inlet North Carolina, and from the North Carolina/Virginia border to Sandy Hook New Jersey, including Delaware Bay south of Slaughter Beach and the Chesapeake Bay south of New Point Comfort.

A tropical storm watch is in effect for:

Sandy Hook New Jersey to Woods Hole Massachusetts, including Block Island and Long Island Sound, and North of Sagamore BEach to the mouth of the Merrimack River Massachusetts.

That's a lot of warnings, it seems that Earl is expected to really bring a storm to the west coast. Hurricane Earl is very larger hurricane and he is still growing. Tropical storm force winds are expected to reach the North Carolina coast by Thursday afternoon, with hurricane force winds occurring by late Thursday.

Tropical Storm Fiona is still moving northwest at 20 miles per hour with winds of up to 60 miles per hour.

Tropical Storm Fiona is not expected to have any major changes in strength or direction in the next 48 hours.
