[/caption]Photogene for iPad is a photo editing app. It's got a lot of features to make editing photos on the go both fun and easy. It has a very user friendly interface, and has got a lot of different effects you can use.
There are many people who love to take photos, there are also many people who like to edit the photos that they take. Well, this app is for that second kind of person, the person who likes to edit the photos that they take. It's not everybody that likes editing photos so much that they want to be able to do it wherever they go, but if you are one of those people, this app is definitely for you.
There are many tools you can use in this app. Some of them are basic, others are full scale professional tools. Listed below are some of them:
- Crop and straighten
- Sharpen
- Full set of color adjustment tools, including curves and levels. Correct underexposed photos, and add a spark to washed-out ones that you can't really correct
- Red-eye correction
- Resize to any resolution (limit: 2048x2048)
- Apply artistic filters such as sepia or edge blur
- Add text boxes of different styles, fonts and colors
- Add frames in various colors and shapes, including shadows and glows
- Add special effects such as reflection or vignette
- Apply one of the supplied macros to "instantly transform your photo" or save your own custom macros
- Multiple undo and redo
- Upload edited photos directly to Facebook, Flickr, Twitter, FTP server, email it, or save it in your iPad's photo gallery

[/caption]Those are most of the functions of this app, there are many other things you can do to make your photo look better, or different in this app. It's a lot of fun using this app, especially if you are not used to using a touch screen for editing. It's very different from using a mouse in Photoshop, but it's very useful on the go.
