At around 8:30 PM CDT, Tropical Storm Hermine made landfall in extreme northeastern Mexico. Tropical Storm Hermine's winds were moving at around 65 miles per hour when the storm made landfall. The storm made landfall along to coast of northearstern Mexico about 40 miles south of Brownsville Texas.
Tropical Storm Hermine's wind speeds have not changed much since the storm made landfall. It's expected that they will stay the same for a bit, and then gradually weaken as Hermine progresses inland.
Hermine is forecast to move inland over southern Texas tonight, and to move into central Texas on Wednesday.
Isolated tornadoes are possible along the lower and middle of the Texas coast tonight as a result of Hermine's winds. Other small storms are possible, including scattered showers and thunderstorms.
Currently, the only watches and warnings in effect are:
A hurricane watch is in effect for Rio San Fernando Mexico, all the way northward to Baffin Bay, Texas.
A tropical storm warning is in effect for La Cruz Mexico northward to Port Oconnor Texas.
Hermine is not expected to cause a lot of damage where it goes. It's expected to die down in the next few days and to just become another one of this year's minor storms.

Tropical Storm Hermine will probably be a tropical depression before it leaves Texas, by that time it's only a matter of ideal weather to make the storm go away altogether and we have nice sunny Gulf Coast weather like we're supposed to.
