[/caption]Serena Williams might have won more tennis titles than Venus Williams. It is, however the elder Williams sister that always makes waves with her unconventional fashion display on the tennis court. Her lace dress at the French Open earlier this year left many tennis players, experts and fans awestruck. However, the dress wasn’t actually as revealing as it seemed to be due to its strange design. This time Venus Williams has made sure that nobody has any doubt about the degree of transparency of her dress.

She is again getting attention for her very much transparent sequin outfits revealing everything beneath at US Open 2010. Her dresses are very nice but they are as unconventional for the game of tennis as a three piece suit is for a swimmer. The interesting thing about her outfit is that she has them in seven different colors. Venus plans to wear a different color in each match, from round 1 to the final. It also shows how motivated and prepared she is, to win this grand slam at her home ground.
Venus said, “So far this year my outfits have been based on the cities that I play in. This outfit was supposed to be about New York. It’s like bursts of fireworks.”
Venus has worn four different dresses in her four matches (from round 1 to the round of 16) so far. Venus said in a press conference, “Seven is a lot of dresses. It would be an honor to wear seven dresses all the way through.” Venus has now advanced to the Quarter finals after beating Shahar Peer of Israel 7-6, 6-3. She is so likely to take the count of her dresses to seven because of the way she has been playing at this year’s US Open.
