Tropical Storm Igor has formed off the coast of Africa in the far eastern Tropical Atlantic Ocean. A tropical storm warning has been issued for the southern Cape Verde Islands, including Maio, Sao Tiago, Fogo, and Brava.
Igor's winds are moving at about 40 miles per hour, making it a very weak tropical storm, however, slow strengthening is forecast for the next 48 hours.
Tropical storm force winds extend outward up to 50 miles from Igor's center.
Tropical storm conditions are expected in the southern Cape Verde Islands later today and overnight. Igor could produce up to 1 to 3 inches of rain over portions of the islands.
Tropical Storm Igor is currently moving west at 8 miles per hour. Igor is expected to continue moving in this general direction at this speed with only some increases in forward speed. The center of Igor should pass south of the Cape Verde Islands by tomorrow.
Tropical Depression Hermine is currently still over Texas, however, the storm is bringing flooding rains from central Texas all the way up to northern Oklahoma. Flood and flash flood warnings are in effect from south central Texas across Oklahoma and eastward into southeastern Kansas and Missouri.

Hermine might not have made it as a hurricane, however, the storm is sure bringing a lot of weather as a tropical depression. The estimated rainfall is in some areas up to 13 inches, and in some areas it's as low as 2 inches.
Tropical Depression Hermine is currently moving north-northeast at 10 miles per hour, this general motion is expected to continue for a while.
