[/caption]The Plano Balloon festival 2010 is taking place in Plano, Texas on September 17, 18, & 19, 2010. The location is: Oak Point Park, 2801 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas 75074. For 31 years the Plano Balloon festival has been creating smiling faces staring in awe at about sixty hot air balloons filling the skies with colors.
About 95,000 visitors experience the balloon festival first hand every year. The main attraction are the hot air balloons. But there are also sky divers that perform each day at about 5:00pm. They are jumping from a plane cruising above the park and landing right in the middle of the launch field.

Tickets for the Plano Balloon festival are $5 per person. Festival goers will have an opportunity to buy a balloon ride during the festival weekend. If you want to get a balloon ride, you should book early, as there is usually a large crowd that tries to get a ride and you might have to stand in line for hours. The cost of a balloon ride is with $250 not exactly cheap, but it is a really fascinating experience. A ride with a balloon is very smooth and the view from above is absolutely stunning.
