The nasty Hurricane Earl is starting to lick the Outer Banks and slowly continuing to move towards the coast of North Carolina. The eye of the large Hurricane Earl is currently about 185 miles south of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The wind speed is about 115 mph with higher gusts and Earl moves north with 18 miles per hour.

There are several Hurricane Warnings and Hurricane Watches in effect.

  • Hurricane Earl is moving towards the north with 18 mile per hour and it is expected that the Hurricane will increase it's speed on Friday. The center of the storm will pass the Outer Banks tonight and will move towrds the southeastern New England on Friday. The coast from Virginia to Massachusetts is expected to experience very strong winds and rainfall on Friday.

    The Hurricane will produce storm surges which will raise the water levels as much as 4 feet and there are rainfalls of 6 inches expected. The National Hurricane Center will release another update
