Hurricane Earl has weakened into a category 3 hurricane with 115 mile per hour winds. Earl is expected to weaken further tonight and Friday, although it is expected to remain a large and powerful hurricane as it passes the Outer Banks.
Hurricane force winds extend outward 70 miles from the center, while tropical storm force winds extend outward 205 miles from the center. Earl is the biggest hurricane from the 2010 hurricane season. The main part of Hurricane Earl is about the size of Colorado.
The same watches and warnings are in effect for Hurricane Earl that were announced earlier.
People living along the East Coast are getting ready for some serious winds, and they are keeping close track on Earl's progress as he continues moving north.
Tropical Storm Fiona is still moving along north-northwest at 17 miles per hour, follow the storm's track. The storm is expected to continue curving away from the United States and to go further out to sea. The tropical storm warning is still in effect for Bermuda.
Fiona is still forecast to weaken over the next 48 hours, and then to gradually die out.

Tropical Depression Gaston is moving west at 5 miles per hour. Gaston's maximum wind speed is 30 miles per hour, and it is expected that it will stay that way over the next few days.
A slight increase in forward speed is expected in the next 48 hours. Currently, Gaston is a harmless storm just passing over the Atlantic. Tropical Depression Gaston will probably stay that way until he weakens and disappears.
