The Wisconsin State Fair 2010 opens it's doors. The Wisconsin State Fair takes place for 11-days eavery year. This is the 159's year of its operation, delivering entertainment and food for kids and grown ups at the Wisconsin State Fair Park.

The 2010 Wisconsin State Fair,is sponsored by U.S. Cellular, and will be open through Sunday, August 15. The Wisconsin State Fair offers an original experience to all that attend and is a phenomenal value with 30 FREE entertainment stages, thousands of animals, endless family activities, events, contests, vendors and culinary delights.

The Spirit of Michael: The show features an Micheal Jackson tribute artist in a ghost-like atmosphere

On Friday, August 6, Michael Jackson fans of all ages will have the opportunity to relive the hit songs of the late music legend’s career complete with an extraordinary laser spectacular when the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage welcomes The Spirit of Michael at 8pm. The show features an M.J. tribute artist in a ghost-like atmosphere, and on several songs the show will be staged as if it were a live Michael Jackson concert setting. Michael Jackson himself acknowledged that the performers on the show are the best-of-the-best prior to his passing. In addition to recreating the King of Pop’s performances through the use of animated laser graphics and 3-D holographic effects, at points in the show special interview segments will be shown featuring fans from all walks of life remembering one of the top performers of our time.

Concertgoers will be taken on a visual journey beginning with Michael’s most recent achievements, and then travel backward to his early years as a child prodigy. This is an audio and visual journey that true Michael Jackson fans will not want to miss! The award-winning a cappella group InPulse will open the show with a performance that will showcase the ultimate instrument – the human voice. InPulse takes the “vocal band” sound into mainstream popular music bringing genuine musical artistry to the stage with a selection of songs as broad as their vocal range. Reserved seat tickets for The Spirit of Michael are $10 and go on sale Saturday, March 6 at 9 am.

Goodwill Two-for-One Tuesday will take place on August 10 from 8am to 2pm. Fairgoers can simply bring in any receipt with proof of purchase from a Goodwill Store & Donation Center dated July 12 through August 10 and receive two adult admission tickets for the price of one ($9 value). The 2010 Wisconsin State Fair, presented by U.S. Cellular will take place Thursday, August 5 through Sunday, August 15.

Steve Miller Band will perform at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage at the Fair

Fronted by a Wisconsinite and one of the most popular classic rock bands of the 70s and 80s, the Steve Miller Band will perform at the Potawatomi Bingo Casino Main Stage at the Fair on Tuesday, August 10. With an instantaneously recognizable sound and a slew of hits that fans know by heart, the show promises to be an unforgettable one for those in attendance. “Fly Like an Eagle,” “Take the Money and Run,” “The Joker,” “Jet Airliner,” “Swingtown,” and “Jungle Love” are just the beginning of the band’s discography that is packed with hits.
Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, co-founder of the group Traffic and critically acclaimed singer/songwriter/guitarist Dave Mason will entertain audiences with his soulful blend of rock and blues when the show kicks off at 7:30pm on August 10. In addition to his solo career and work with Traffic, the iconic Mason has played with Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and the Rolling Stones. Reserved seat tickets for Steve Miller Band with special guest Dave Mason go on sale on Saturday, March 13 at 9 am and will be available for $45, $35, and $20.
