Diets, diets, diets! The one topic that we are constantly talking about. The one question we ask is which diet? Our friends tell us about this one, are mom's tell us about that one, and the TV commercials tell us about another. How do we know which diet to choose??

Well, I'll make it simple. How about instead of going on a diet, you change the way you eat for good. Instead of doing a diet for a few weeks and then gaining back the weight you lost, how about changing your food lifestyle to a healthy one?

That's quite a question. But the truth is, the only way to keep of the weight you lose and the only way to stay healthy is by making sure you put healthy nutrients into your body.

Now, there is a trick to staying healthy but also of not depriving yourself of the foods you love the most. The trick is this, balance. You have to have a balanced diet of protein, fruit and vegetables. Your protein does not have to be meat, it can if you like meat, but if you don't then you can have the protein be: eggs, yogurt, cheese, nuts, tofu or whatever else you like that supplies your body with protein.

Once you have worked out a balanced diet for yourself you can then start to think of the things that are not too healthy for you but that you like to eat. For example, I love chocolate, so I make sure to eat a very healthy balanced vegetarian diet and then once a week or so I treat myself to chocolate. I don't just eat a little bit of chocolate, I eat just how much I want and until I have my chocolate tooth satisfied.

The thing is, you can't have too much of the junk foods, or candies or unhealthy foods. You can have some but you have to make sure you have a balanced diet filled with nutritious foods.

One other tip I have for staying healthy is, drinking lots and lots of water. Keep yourself thoroughly hydrated.
