Pencil vs Camera is an image editing app. With it, you can select parts of photos that you would like to turn into either a sketch, cartoon or halftone image. Also, you can add noise to parts of your photo.

This app has a very sleek user interface, and it is also very easy to navigate and use. You can choose photos that you want to use from your photo album, and you can save the edited versions of those photos there as well.

Pencil vs Camera allows you to also share photos via email. This is useful if you just want to send your photos to family or friends.

The parts of the photo that you wish to turn into a sketch or cartoon etc. are completely arbitrary. You select the region by drawing on the photo. It's very simple and I'm sure you won't get confused.

You can make some very cool photos with this app, it's sure to impress your friends.

Pencil vs Camera also works with iOS 4. This is good, it means that you can rest assured knowing that it won't crash if you update your software.

This app really allows you to make something interesting out of even the most boring photo. It somehow brings some life and unique-ness to photos.

There is one main thing, however, that could really, really be improved: the support for the app is on Twitter. First of all, not everyone has a Twitter account, actually, the majority of the world's population doesn't, so having that be the only way to contact the developers is a disappointment for such a wonderful app. Also, you can't direct message the developers on Twitter, you have to send them an "@ reply." This makes it all the harder to contact them.

All in all, feature wise this is a great app. The lack of support is cause for concern, however.

I would only recommend buying this app if you are, 1. sure you won't need support, and 2. you never use support anyways.

[rating: 3/5]

You can purchase Pencil vs Camera here.

The lack of support in any app calls for an immediate deduction of two stars in the Damego rating.
