Here is what some critics have said:
The Switch, the very dry romantic comedy starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, is what you might call a Bate-and-switch affair. More his journey than hers, more satire than slapstick, the film is that rare example of rom-com about men, which turns out to be a nice switch indeed (LA Times).

The Switch is not as challenging as The Kids Are All Right, but the kid is even better (Boston Phoenix).

Squeezes fresh laughs out of what is, in essence, a rather startlingly post-Freudian, nature-trumps-nurture view of child development (Entertainment Weekly).

The Switch, to its credit, really is about a boy, who with the help of a sensitive, sad-eyed kid, stands a chance of becoming a man (Washington Post).

It looks like the critics are mixed. Some seem to like the movie and some, as usual, hate it.
