The DIRT

Florists, Christmas tree growers, master gardeners and other experts team up to offer informative demonstrations and question and answer sessions from 9 AM until 9 PM. These presentations take place every day in the Agriculture Horticulture Building.

Seed Survivor

This interactive and educational exhibit teaches youth about the elements needed for seeds to grow into mature plants. Seed Survivor features virtual reality games and multi-media to make the presentations interesting. As well, it has insect video scopes, sunflower planting stations, talking walls and more. This exhibit is located in the DIRT demonstration area in the Agriculture Horticulture Building.

Green Street

Green Street is probably one of the most loved new exhibits. It's extremely educational and the knowledge you gain from it is very applicable. It is located at the Eco Experience in the Progress Center. It's a mini-version of a walkable neighborhood. I features carbon footprint-reducing transportation options, renewable energy, community space, a community garden, a rain garden and a play area. As well it features a public performance space and "distributed" energy sources including a carport and electric car charging stations.

Eco Experience Demonstrations

New Eco Experience presentations are at the Progress Center. These include: information on renewable energy, energy saving tips and the production of sustainable plastics.

A few other new exhibits include:

Ag Magic Show
Choo Choo Bob's Train Store and Show
Charro Jerry Diaz

and I Can Camp!

That's a lot of new exhibitions that are at the Minnesota State Fair this year. These are in addition to the hundreds that are already there. That means that you will not run out of things to do at the fair for the next few days.
