Debussy surprisingly wins the Arlington Million 2010 with 1/2 length ahead of the favourite and last years champion Gio Poni.Debussy is a 4-year-old Irish-bred colt with a direct line to Diesis and is owned Princess Haya of Jordan.
The Arlington Million 2010 win was the biggest win in Debussy's career so far. He was trained by John Gosden. The jockey William Buick managed to score the win, despite the fact that he was well behind at the start of the race. Debussy was 4th for the first 100 yards, and still 4th after 1/2 mile.

A purse of $1 Million is not usual for a thoroughbred race and Arlington was the first race to offer this prize. The Arlington Million is a part of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge series and is considered to be one of the most prestigious thoroughbred races in the US. Arlington Park is over 80 years old. The first thoroughbred race took place in Arlington on October 13, 1927.
