The tax free weekend in Texas is the latest in the series of tax free weekends. Connecticut’s Tax Free Week, which went from Aug. 15-21, 2010 is followed on August 20 by Texas. The Connecticut tax free week was for Clothing under $300 and Shoes under $300.
There is only one more tax free event in the US after the Texas tax free weekend:
West Virginia’s 2010 Energy Star Sales Tax Holiday: September 1-November 30, 2010, which applies to Energy Star products. These items have to be purchased for home use only and cost less than $5,000.
