Glenn Beck launches The Blaze, a news and opinion website and introduces it on his web site with:
"If you are like me, watching the news or reading the paper can be an exercise in exasperation. It's so hard to find a place that helps me make sense of the world I see.

Too many important stories are overlooked. And too many times we see mainstream media outlets distorting facts to fit rigid agendas. Not that you've ever heard me complain about the media before. Okay, maybe once or twice. "

That Glenn Beck is part of the mainstream media and is sometimes himself distorting facts is probably besides the point. He tries to play the little guy, which sounds nice, but if you are not the little guy, it sounds kind of strange.

Anyhow, it's another site with news. Whether the stories there matter or not is a matter of opinion. But as he is already almost famous, the web site will most likely be a success. That does not mean that The Blaze will be good, but it will get a lot of traffic and sheer momentum will propel it to one of the most visited web sites in the U.S.

Glenn Lee Beck was born on February 10, 1964 and is an American radio and television host with a conservative political view. He currently hosts The Glenn Beck Program, a nationally syndicated talk-radio show which airs on many radio networks throughout the U.S. He also hosts a show on Fox News and has authored six books, which were New York Times bestsellers.

The web site is sponsored by Goldline, a large gold coin retailer, for which Glenn Beck is already a spokes person.
