It's being reported that Levi Johnston, the father of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin's grandson, has filed papers to run for office next year in his hometown of Wasilla, Alaska.
According to AOLnews, Johnston filed his letter of intent on Friday with the Alaska Public Offices Commission. This is the first step needed to start campaigning. It's also reported that he has signed onto a new reality TV show. This means that if he makes it into office, the show will have a whole new perspective of reality.
It's not specified in the letter which office he is running for. However, Johnston's manager, Tank Jones, did say that Johnston is interested in a run for mayor of City Council.
Jones did confirm, earlier this month, that Johnston planned to run for office as a part of the reality TV show.

Since the birth of his son, Tripp, Johnston has had an interesting relationship with the Palin family as he and Bristol Palin recently broke off their short-lived engagement.
Since he is following his former fiancee's mother into politics, it's hoped that he will face happier times. It might be good for him to have to be responsible for a whole town if he makes it to being mayor.
Regarding the election, Johnston stated, "Whether I win or not win, I want Tripp to look up to me and see what I've done and be proud of his Dad." The current mayor of Wasilla recommends that Johnston "keep his clothes on," he also recommends that Johnston get his high school diploma.
