Here are some good news about Hurricane Danielle. The tropical storm Danielle weakened unexpectedly and was downgraded to a category 1 storm. This was announced in the Hurricane Danielle Public Advisory by the National Hurricane Center at 11:00 AM.
But not all danger is over yet. The Hurricane Center said that it is expected that the Hurricane Danielle regains strength. The sustained wind speed is down to 85 to 135 mph, while it was yesterday 85 to 145 mph. The bad weather is moving with 20 mph. Although the strength of Hurricane Danielle has weakened, re-strengthening during the next 48 hours is possible said the forecaster from the Hurricane Center in Miami.
Hurricane Danielle was declared a Category 2 storm yesterday. After it had been downgraded to Category 1 at 11 AM by the National Hurricane Center in Miami, it does not seem to be a huge threat for the US mainland. As it is currently headed towards Bermuda, it might create rough weather conditions there by the end of the week.
On the next page you can see a map showing Hurricane Danielle.
That the weather forecasters are surprised about the development is a good thing in this case.
I prefer surprised forecasters over Hurricane hitting the shores. If you are interested to learn all the scientific details on why the Hurricane is now lame, you can read up on it on the Hurricane Danielle Forecast Discussion website.
