According to Forbes magazine, Mariah Carey is one of the richest women in the entertainment business and she made Time's annual list of 100 most Influential people.
Back to the Mariah Carey pregnant rumor: According to hollywoodlife.com, the picture was taken while Mariah was performing on stage in Brazil. It was posted on Twitpic.

[/caption]While the picture indeed seems to show a pregnant belly, it could not be verified whether the picture is actually showing Mariah Carey. It is also unclear whether the picture was photo-shopped in any way. It is a piece of cake to make any person look pregnant with maybe 10 minutes work on Photoshop.
So, if she is indeed pregnant: Great. That would be good news. But if this is just some wannabe artist showing off his or her photo editing skills: never mind. Then it was just a rumor and let's hope that she does not get offended. Maybe she just ate too many bagels and her belly was a little larger than usual. Add to that some strange light or movement and you could also get a picture like this.
If Mariah Carey is indeed pregnant, we will find out soon, as more pictures will come to light. So far it all seems to be a rumor, even if ABC news talks about how Nick Cannon and Mariah are going to have a baby.

Nick Cannon was born on October 8, 1980 and is an American rapper, actor, comedian and TV star, who married Mariah in 2008.
To make the rumor almost become reality, Fox news chimes in with Pop Diva Mariah Carey Is Pregnant: Report. Foxnews quotes another source that supposedly should have said both, meaning Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon, are very excited and very happy.
