Life Not So Fantastic For Idol Winner Fantasia

As they say on the street, Season Three Idol winner, Fantasia Barrino, can “blow” (sing), but her fame and the recent splendid display of her talent on Broadway have not contributed to good judgment. Heckler Spray is reporting that Miss Barrino has been admitted to a hospital for an apparent attempt on her life; this attempted suicide was brought on by being accused by another woman of having an affair with the woman’s husband.

To compound the situation, Miss Barrino is accused of making a sex tape with said married man, an Antwaun Cook, and she is also said to have a tattoo on her person of her alleged lover. Mr. Cook’s wife is also alleging that Miss Barrino, in essence, told Mrs. Cook that if she knew how to hold a man, that her husband (Mr. Cook) wouldn’t be here with her. These are fighting words to a woman and it is no surprise that the dirty laundry is out there for all to gawk at and see.

Mrs. Cook made the accusation because, apparently, in North Carolina there are still “Heart Balm” legal remedies - a spouse can still use infidelity as part of fault in a marital dispute. Heart Balm issues include infidelity or anything or anyone who have caused the break down of the marriage – these remedies are not available in many states, but to the chagrin of Miss Barrino is allowed in North Carolina, causing her name to be displayed in the news as an alleged home wrecker.

Miss Barrino’s attempted suicide might be an act of sorrow and contrition for her actions; perhaps, we will hear about Miss Barrino going through the physical, painful procedure of removing the tattoo, which supposedly displayed her alleged lover - but the emotional removal might be more challenging.

Miss Barrino is doing well and her taking of Aspirins coupled with other medication is no longer life threatening. Now comes the therapy and God forbid that there is indeed a sex tape because this will even more muddy the situation, especially if the sex tape is available for the world to see. I would say that if all of Hollywood were to react the same way like Miss Barrino, for having an alleged affair with a married person, I dare say that the psyche wards would be full to capacity. This is probably the primary reason why “Heart Balm” remedies are not available in most states like California and New York.
