[/caption]Hip-Hop star, T.I. and his wife, Tameka "Tiny" Cottle were arrested last night for drug possession charges after police smelled alleged marijuana emanating from their vehicle. The arrests were made after a traffic stop on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood.
T.I. was released from prison in March. He had been arrested on weapons charges. He is currently serving probation. This arrest could cause a good bit of trouble for the star.
In other news, Paris Hilton has been banned from the Wynn properties in Las Vegas, this includes both the Wynn and the Encore. She is still, however, very much welcome to stay at the Vegas Hilton, big surprise there. She was banned as a result of being arrested for marijuana smoke wafting from their car.
The problem with celebrities being arrested and banned from hotels and other things like that is that they have an influence on their fans. If T.I. shows that it's "okay" to get arrested, his fans are going to assume that, "T.I.'s cool, he got arrested, so that means if I get arrested I'll be cool." The same goes for Paris Hilton.
They might think that it doesn't matter, however, do we really want to live in a world where the people who everyone looks up to are the criminals and the ones who are constantly getting busted for things from drug possession to weapons charges?

If that's what America has come to, I say that it's time for a change. People need to realize that prison is not "cool", doing stupid things can influence your future. If you have an arrest on your history, you will have trouble getting a job, if you have been in jail, you will have an even harder time. If you have drugs on your record, you wouldn't even be eligible for certain things.
