On the eve of 'Decision Points' book launch, former President George W. Bush will land on a one-on-one television interview show with NBC's Matt Lauer to promote his book, reports The Huffington Post.

This is the first time Mr. Bush will give post-Presidency interview.

The memoir will be aired on November 8th on NBC as a "Matt Lauer Reports", six days after the congressional elections.

On November 10, he will again appear on TV in Lauer's regular gig, the "Today" show, the highest-rated morning show. His daughter Jenna Bush Hager is a contributing correspondent to the show since last year.

The meetings at both the shows will probably garner good attention as Mr. Bush has largely stayed out of the public eye since he left the Oval Office in 2009.

NBC release said, "President Bush will talk to Lauer about the details of his upcoming book, Decision Points, to be released by Crown Publishers on November 9, and he will discuss the defining decisions he has made in his personal and political life."

The release date of Crown Publishers' book is interesting, as the Obama and Democratic candidates will continue to bash the former President's record during election season. More interesting will be if any tidbits of the book leak out before the November 2 election, and whether it takes a political shape.

Daivd Sherzer, spokesman of Mr. Bush, gave statement to USA Today about the book and the interview: "Decision Points will be a unique brand of Presidential memoir, covering 14 of the most consequential decisions of President Bush's life and Presidency. Readers will learn a lot about the 43rd President, the information and advice that crossed his desk, and how and why he made the decisions that have shaped our Nation's course in the first part of the 21st century."

President Bush looks forward to discussing his reflections in interviews and events, and he appreciates the platform NBC offers for his first post-Presidential intervie."

Mr. Bush had faced low approval ratings most of the times in his Presidency and after stepping down he had largely kept a low profile if we put aside his few appearances at charity functions and once at the Southern Methodist University.
