[/caption]Nicolas Cage plays the role of Balthazar Blake, who is a master sorcerer in Manhatten. He is trying to defend the city from evil arch-nemesis, Maxim Horvath (Alfred Molina).
But Balthazar can't do it alone. He recruits a helper: Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel). Dave is a seemingly average guy who demonstrates hidden potential, as his reluctant protégé.
Balthazar, the sorcerer gives his unwilling accomplice a crash course in the art and science of magic, and together, these unlikely partners work to stop the forces of darkness.

So, not that you should believe anything that you read about movies, but this movie is definitely worth seeing. The casting is excellent and the plot is full of suspense. This movie really is a one-of-a-kind experience!
