So Far In The Western Basketball Playoffs, Kobe Bryant is Living Up To His Name, The Black Mamba

There are times when Charles Barkley, the ex basketball player who now is the commentator for TNT, sounds like a sage and there are times when he sounds like he is the village idiot.

The latter seems appropriate when Barkley recently said that Kobe Bryant was old. Perhaps, Barkley said this to motivate Kobe because he is lighting up the Phoenix Suns. Long after Shaq left the glitter of Hollywood, Kobe is still thrilling the crowd.

The Black Mamba, (as Kobe is called), is the most lethal snake in the world; and it is endemic to Africa. Kobe has been lethal to his basketball opponents… so far in the playoffs; and, the Phoenix Suns do not seem to have an antidote or any mongoose - the snake’s nemesis - in their arsenal.

It would be quite a feat if the Phoenix Suns could slay Kobe and his supporting cast. The first game against the Suns, the Black Mamba stung them for forty points; and, for the second game, the Black Mamba spread the bloodletting around by delegating the beat down to his teammates by having twenty one points; thirteen assists, and five blocks.

These Phoenixes, as of now, are paralyzed and unable to rise from the lethal stings of the Black Mamba. Maybe Phoenix playing on their home turf will charm the Black Mamba and his team, but they should also tell Charles Barkley to keep quiet and don’t entice lethal snakes with big juicy rats, oops, I meant Phoenixes.
