[/caption]Sometimes I can’t believe that the little freckle face girl I see my daughter watch in the “Parent Trap” is the troubled Lindsay Lohan we see in the news.
It is even disheartening to know that Lindsay has the acting chops (see Mean Girls), but is crippled with alcohol abuse. Yesterday, the judge mandated Lindsay to wear a monitor that would record if there is alcohol in her system. Lindsay, through her lawyer, vehemently protested, saying that such an ankle monitor would interfere with her acting and model photo shoots. The judge wasn’t convinced and so Lindsay must wear the ankle monitor and complete sobriety classes.
Lindsay said that she was about to start shooting a movie in Texas, but the judge intimated that she was given to many chances to comply with the law and didn’t, and therefore, making movies at this juncture was secondary.
Everyone loves a comeback story and Lindsay can do it. After all, Robert Downey Jr. overcame his demons and is living large in the Iron Man franchise; and Charlie Sheen is very successful with Two and Half Men, not-with-standing his many run in with the law. We are hoping that Lindsay Lohan overcomes her demons and thrill us with her acting and even her singing, instead of constantly being seen with a puffy face - one of the tell-tale marks of alcohol abuse.
Feel sorry for someone who flaunts her fame in the face of a court of law? Heck no! Lidsay come down to earth, you're 23. Get straight, go away for a while. You look 38 because you've partied enough to add 15 years to your life. Too bad everyone in your family is more concerned about themselves than you or their family as a whole.
