Shrek Forever After wins the number one movie all over the country for the second weekend in a row. Not even Sex and the City 2 beat it out this past weekend in the box office. Shrek made $43.3 million gross this weekend from Friday to Saturday whereas Sex and the City 2 made $46.3 million, which includes the $14.2 million that it made on Thursday night.

When the first Sex and the City came out two years ago there were a lot more people that watched that than people who watched the sequel.
The sequel has gotten some bad reviews and has been said to be either "too long", or "tasteles". I personally think that it definitely wasn’t "tasteless" but it could have been a little bit shorter.
If you have been a Sex and the City fan from the start than I think you will like the sequel. It has that same funny and fun style that we so loved on the show and in the first Sex and the City movie.
Shrek did end up bringing in more than Sex and the City 2 but that could be since Shrek is a movie that is available for everyone to see. Kids can go see Shrek whereas Sex and the City 2 is rated R and you have to be 17 or over to see it.
So if you are still wondering whether you should or shouldn’t see Sex and the City 2, you should go see it. Even though you might have heard bad reviews I think you should go see it yourself if you like a good, funny romantic comedy with a bit of a twist to it.

And why shouldn't Shrek beat out "Sex"? That's a no-brainer really. Shrek is entertaining and at least has a story line, it's characters actually are thinking creatures, even animated. hahaha "Sex" isn't that by a long shot. And I for one have really had my fill of SJP and her buddies. Mindless movies just don't last all that long now, do they. Thank God.
ردحذفMovies are just too expensive.
ردحذفI wanted to see both Shrek 4 and Sex and the City 2, but I saw neither because ticket prices by me are 11 dollars!
It's a shame because it defeats the purpose of why movies were created; as a cheap form of entertainment for people who didn't have much money.
