[/caption]Dennis Hopper was an actor and filmmaker. Born in Kansas in 1936, his family moved to California when he was thirteen and he began his acting career in 1955, with a television appearance and roles in "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Giant".
He appeared in many movies and television shows throughout the years, including the television show "Crash" and "24", and was also a skilled photographer and painter, his works displayed in various galleries across the world.
Hopper was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2009 and past away today due to complications from it. Married five times, he left behind four children and two grandchildren.
Dennis Hooper was also a very good photographer, painter and sculptor.
Dennis Lee Hopper was born May 17, 1936 and died on May 29. He was an American actor, filmmaker and artist. When Dennis was a young boy, he suddenly became interested in acting. This resulted finally in him joining the Actors Studio as a scholar.
Dennis Hopper appeared on television for the first time in 1955. He was also a co-actor of James Dean in the Rebel Without a Cause (1955) and also in the film Giant (1956).
Over the next ten years, Hopper appeared frequently on television in guest roles, and by the end of the 1960s had played supporting roles in several films. He directed and starred in Easy Rider (1969), winning an award at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay as co-writer of the film's script.
Dennis Hopper will always be remembered for his great acting. It's very sad and a great loss. Not just for the movie industry but in general as he was a man of integrity. His most rememorable movie for me is Colors.
