An artist in New York City has responded to the financial
crisis by an urban poster put on Broad Street right next to the New York Stock Exchange which is called, “ My God, My God…The 3 Stock Traders” The art piece goes live tomorrow, May 25th.

The artist is going to present big poster reproduction of her oil painting done of stock traders, “ in panic mode” as the global financial meltdown take a firm hold.

The artist whose name is Michelle Rogers says that the “scene of the crime” for this huge financial scandal that as enveloped the world is Wall Street.

Rogers says, “ I want the Wall Street guys to know, that they are not the masters of the universe and to accept that they have caused great pain in the world and they need to make it right.”

A little bit of info about this artist, Michelle Rogers, she grew up in Dundalk, Ireland. In 1993 the Amnesty International chose her to go to Bosnia. This experience resulted in all sorts of paintings about the uncertainties and contractions of human nature.

In 2002 she was invited to show her painting “9-1-1 Memorial” at the Irish Arts Center in New York City. Rogers has had the chance to display her painting in lots of different important exhibitions.

Michelle Rogers spends her time in Dublin, Rome and New York.
