Gary Coleman was hospitalized earlier this week, put on life support this morning with a brain hemorrhage, and has passed away today after life support was pulled, according to several news reports. According to reports, he was checked into the local hospital after falling in his Utah home and suffering a head injury.
Gary Coleman was a child star best known for his role in the American sitcom “Diff’rent Strokes”.

He appeared in a number of television shows and movies since his career first began in the 1970s. His height, stunted at 4’8”, was caused by congenital kidney disease, which he had suffered from all his life. He had undergone two kidney transplants early in his life, but didn’t let his medical conditions get in the way of pursuing his acting career.

He was admitted to the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Utah after falling and hitting his head on Wednesday. On Thursday, he was announced to be in critical condition. As of Friday morning, he was unconscious and on life support after suffering a brain hemorrhage. According to reports, the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman Janet Frank said life support was then terminated and he died at 12:05 p.m. MDT.
