This Year's American Idol Winner: Lee DeWyze

This year’s American Idol winner is Lee DeWyze.  It’s been a long journey for Lee, filled with stumbles and rises. He has had quite a season performing all sorts of different songs that we mostly are all familiar with.

DeWyze auditioned for American Idol in Chicago last June with the song “Ain’t No Sunshine.” Lee wasn’t the only person to audition from Chicago. He was one out of 13 people. This was the lowest number of people to audition from a city out of all the seven cities.

The next 48 hours of Lee’s life will be filled with interviews and applause. He will definitely be busy and people will be surrounding him, wanting to get all sorts of info from him. Now that he has won Idol he will be given a recording contract and will definitely have to get used to all the fame and glory.
