[/caption]Today the National Football League owners chose the New York/New Jersey area as the place to host the 2014 Super Bowl. The Super Bowl in 2014 will take place at the New Meadowlands Stadium. This stadium is an outdoor stadium meaning this will be the first outdoor and
cold-weather Super Bowl ever.
This is a huge deal for New York since the Super Bowl has never been hosted in New York. When you think of New York in February you definitely get the idea of cold weather and possibly snow. This means that coat sales and earmuff sales will definitely increase in the year 2014.
Not to mention that when something happens in New York it is a big deal. New York likes big and hosting the 2014 Super Bowl will be no exception.
Also with the Super Bowl being hosted in a cold weather area, hot weather teams will definitely have a disadvantage whereas cold weather teams such as the Pittsburg Steelers and the New England Patriots will have a serious advantage.
The 2014 will be the first ever Super Bowl that could possibly feature snow. How exciting! But there were some concerns from the NFL owners about how happy the fans will stay in cold temperatures especially when snow is involved. But no worries, the organizers of the proposal for New York promised hand–warmers, fire pits in the parking lots and snowplows to clear the streets. The proposal also included a Super Bowl float in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade and a party at Liberty State Park.
As you can see New York is really taking the Super Bowl to another level. They are going to rock the 2014 Super Bowl and the stadiums hosting the Super Bowl after New York will have a hard time keeping up.
