"Hypocrats": Sarah Palin Makes A Fortune and Gets Snide Remarks

About a fortnight ago, many in the media, along with their Democratic cohorts, were beside themselves when they found out that Sarah Palin had made some Twelve Million dollars from her various ventures; the snide remarks came from all corners of the media, intimating that the former Alaskan governor wasn’t deserving of such a lucrative payday. To prove what "hypocrats" that they are, none of our intrepid, biased media or fellow Democrats ("hypocrats") have said a word about  Al Gore’s recent purchased of a nine-million-dollar home in the Hollywood hills.

I have often wondered how so many of us in the current media can be such hypocrites; it’s akin to having one’s fetid, rotting skeletons out in the open, while at the same time pointing one’s finger at someone else’s, who incidentally, is being mute out of respect of the fact that he or she knows that he or she lives in a ‘glass house,’ but whose emaciated skeleton is ensconced safely in a closet somewhere. How could the likes of Katie Couric, with a straight face, questioned Sarah Palin’s payday when the former is making some fifteen million yearly for perpetually being last in the nightly news ratings.

President Obama makes some five million with the sales of his biography; John Kerry married into the Heinz ketchup fortune; Arianna Huffington is a wealthy media mogul; the Kennedys are deemed American Royalty (Camelot) without the diadem. All my Democratic friends who are living large, I do not begrudge them, not-with-standing how they made their respective fortunes. What is it about Sarah Palin that causes so many to have such angst? Is it because she dared to bring an autistic child into the world?  If you disagree with her politics, that is quite ok… but to want to deprive her of the American way of making a living is hypocritical, to say the least. How many movie stars, athletes, musicians or general artists, who see eye to eye with the principles of the media and the Democrats, get a pass for their lavish lifestyle?

More power to Al Gore for making a mint out of what many think is junk science; incidentally, it seems recently that God has been making a mockery out of Gore’s Global Warming thesis. Case in point, as I am writing here in New York, it is early May, yet it is awfully cold. I have no complaints against our former Vice President for  the current inclement weather nor his crib in the Hollywood hills because I did not purchase nor did I subscribe to the findings in his bogus tome on Global Warming. I would hope the same courtesy is paid to Sarah Palin no matter the vitriol one has against her politics.
