[/caption]Index Card's theme or description is, "Capture. Organize. Compile." That's exactly what it helps you do. It's a non-linear writing took that has been designed specifically for the iPad. It's made so you can fill it with all your ideas and notes as they come to you. It's made to imitate the appearance of a cork board and normal index cards. This gives you a sense of familiarity with it and it also looks nice.
With Index Card you can structure your ideas in small easily manageable chunks. Whether you are a novelist, screen writer, academic researcher, comic writer, or journalist, Index Card can help you get your ideas written down quickly and in an organized fashion. Also, if you are a photographer or illustrator, this app can help you get your ideas for shoots/setups or illustrations written down as well.
Basically, if you have ever written notes, you will like the look and feel of this app.
The Features:
Cards: Each card is a single note with a title and then your note. Each note contains a title, synopsis and a label color.
Projects: With Index Card you can maintain multiple projects which are each made up of their own cards.
Corkboard: This is the place where all your cards/projects are "pinned" up. You can arrange the flow of your project with the tip of your finger, touch-and-hold a card to drag it to a new location and the other cards will automatically reorder themselves.

[/caption]Outline: This is an alternative view of your project, you can tap a row to open it for editing, or you can delete rows or drag and drop them to reorganize. There's a search bar for easily finding cards in the current project.
Export: You can export an RTF (Rich Text Format) copy of your project to your computer via iTunes File Sharing.
Mail: With mail you can email the current version of your project without leaving the app.
These are some great features, and Index Card is a very useful app.
There are some things that could be added, such as a cloud sharing feature like DropBox. This would enable you to share your project with a lot more people, and also would enable you to save it remotely. That's probably the main thing that many people would like to have added.
Besides that, it's fantastic and incredibly useful.
