[/caption]The Gillette Fusion ProGlide Prelude will be held tonight at the legendary Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Tony Stewart, the owner of Eldora Speedway, will host “Tony Stewart Live” at 7 p.m. EDT on SIRIUS-XM Radio. The show will be available nationwide to customers of Sirus NASCAR Radio on The broadcast will be available to listeners nationwide on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio SIRIUS Channel 128 and XM Channel 128.
Before the event will be aired live on HBO Pay-Per-View® at 7 p.m. EDT (4 p.m. PDT), SPEED is airing a one-hour live pre-race special – the Prelude to the Dream Countdown Show – at 6 p.m. EDT (3
p.m. PDT).
"There will be NO free delayed airings of the event on any outlet", said Tony Stewart.
The following drivers will participate in the event: Clint Bowyer, Kasey Kahne, Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards and Joey Logano. All will join Stewart and many others, including fellow Sprint Cup champions Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Matt Kenseth, Bobby Labonte and Bill Elliott. Action sports legends Travis Pastrana and Ricky Carmichael, along with 2004 IZOD IndyCar Series champion Tony Kanaan, will also participate.
Each of the stock cars weights 2,300 pounds and has more than 800 horsepower. Gillette Fusion ProGlide Prelude to the Dream is not only a charity event, but also a team race. While there will be an individual winner for the race, the filed is broken up into four teams. Each team is named after one of the benefit-ting children's hospitals.
· Team Riley (Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis):
Bowyer (captain), Ryan Newman, Gordon, A.J. Allmendinger, Justin Allgaier, Wallace and Ron Capps.
· Team Cincinnati (Cincinnati Children’s):
Kahne (captain), Logano, Stewart, Labonte, Elliott and Cruz Pedregon.
· Team Levine (Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, N.C.):
Busch (captain), Johnson, Kenseth, David Reutimann, Dave Blaney, Marcos Ambrose and Pastrana.
· Team St. Jude (St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.):
Hamlin (captain), Edwards, Ken Schrader, Aric Almirola, Carmichael, Kanaan and Ray Evernham.
Tony Steward hopes to raise $1 Million for these four Children's Hospitals with the proceeds of 15% of the income made with the event.
