True Blood is an HBO series that was created by and is produced by Alan Ball. It is based on the novels by Charlaine Harris. It is about the co-existence of vampires and humans in a fictional tiny Louisiana town. Sounds like Twilight, however it becomes obvious, when you see it, that it's totally different. I'm sure all the fans would agree.

The main character of the series is Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin). She is a telepathic yet naive bar waitress. She falls in love with an ex civil war veteran who is a vampire named Bill Compton (Stephen Moyer).
