Nicolas Lodeiro is one of the finest player Uruguay has produced in recent times, His full name is Marcelo Nicolás Lodeiro Benítez. A born playmaker, he has the character, technique, speed of thought and explosive skills that the job requires.
Today the midfielder scored the first red card of the 2010 World Cup. He is the first player to get a red card during the world cup. Well deserved but we sympathize.

Lodeiro was born in 1989 in Paysandú, which is the third largest city in Uruguay bordering to Argentina. He made his first steps as a footballer at the local club Barrio Obrero. At the age of 14 he started to play with the national youth team.
