The short answer to "Who is Miroslav Klose": The German player scored his first goal in the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the second goal for Germany.

Miroslav Klose was born on 9 June 1978 in Slawiecice, Poland. His full name is Mirosław Marian Kloze. Klose is a German association footballer who plays as a striker for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and currently in the 2010 World Cup. His goal-to-game ratio in international matches is very good.

He playes for the World Cup since 2002 and is known to score goals with headers. Sometimes he also scores goals by doing a front flip. With scoring five goals, he was the top scorer at the 2006 World Cup in Germany and received the Golden Boot award for that.

Born in the Polish part of Silesia, Klose plays for the German national team. He is German and Polish by birth and qualified for selection by the German national team because of the German nationality of his father. He was the top scorer and thus the Golden Boot winner at the 2006 World Cup in Germany, with five goals.
