Heidi Montag Files for Legal Separation in Court

Heidi Montag has filed for a legal separation from her husband Spencer Pratt.  She went to a courthouse in Santa Monica and filed for this separation due to irreconcilable differences. She did not file for a divorce. Her filing for a legal separation means that her earnings will become only her property starting on the date of the separation, which she put down as June 8^th.

After the news about how Heidi and Spencer were separating Heidi said that she just needs some space and she really needs to concentrate on herself. She said that there were so many lies being spread about her and about the whole issues that she just really needed a break from it all.

Like Heidi has stated before, she will be starring in a new reality TV show with her new roommate Jen Bunney. Heidi also wants to write a movie script.

So far we haven’t heard much about how Spencer is coping with all of this. There aren’t really any updates on what Spencer plans to do in the future or what he is currently up to. Time can only tell how all of this is affecting him.

With Heidi filing for a legal separation it looks like she is really taking the separating of her and her husband seriously. She isn’t just lightly splitting from him, she is so serious that now she wants to make sure that everything she earns belongs solely to her. Now the question is, will they divorce or not?
