Time magazine, as published on Yahoo.com tries to make believe again that bed bugs are a problem in Ohio. Supposedly people are resorting to sleeping on the streets.

"The problem is so dire in Cincinnati that some people with infested apartments have resorted to sleeping on the streets."

While it is true that people are sleeping on streets. And it is true that these people have problems with bed bugs. What they don't say is that the people that sleep on streets are called bums. And these guys could not care less about any bugs. They are well beyond worrying about their apartments.

I guess it is the middle of summer again. Time probably ran out of news and now they have to make up stuff.

But in case you are worried about bed bugs, here is a simple, very effective and non-toxic-for-humans treatment. Go to your next home improvement store, like Home Depot or Lowes and buy some dry Boric Acid powder.

The Boric Acid crystals are eaten by the bugs and slice up their intestines. It works like a charm on all kinds of bugs.

But it is cheap. So you will find many "experts" warning about the use. The only thing that is true, you should not inhale it, as it can irritate the respiratory tract and you might sneeze. But once it is laying around, only bugs get affected by it. You could eat it and nothing would happen. It only slices up the intestines of bugs, as they have very tiny intestines.

If you don't believe me, you might believe eHow.com. Not that they always tell the truth, but the make money through Google ads and not by selling advertising directly to companies that sell chemicals:

"However, applying Boric Acid in areas where bedbugs may exist other than mattresses or box springs will have a positive effect on their extermination. In general, applying boric acid around the bed, specifically any cracks or crevices where bedbugs may hide, can be seen as an effective approach to controlling bedbug populations."
