Drake's new album Thank me Later will be released by Cashmoney-Records and Universal Motown on June 15.

Thank Me Later had already been announced last year in November. and the release was scheduled for March 2010. Universal Motown, who handles the distribution for Thank me Later stated that the album will be released now officially on June 15.

According to MTV, Drake stated that Nas and André 3000 have been an important inspiration to him and have influenced some of the work on Thank Me Later:

"Nas was somebody that I used to listen to his raps and never understood how he did it. I always wanted to understand how he painted those pictures and his [rhyming] bar structure. I went back and really studied Nas and Andre 3000 and then came back with this album."

Drake came out with a mixtape So Far Gone. When he was asked how the album Thank Me Later would sound in comparison to his last mixtape, So Far Gone, he said: "It's gonna be bigger, it's gonna sound happier." "More victorious, 'cause that's where I'm at in my life."
