Kyle Busch won the pole after he turned a lap of 169.485 mph on Friday. The Gillette Fusion ProGlide 500 presented by Target will be Kyle Busch's 200th NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race during his career.

“It’s been documented before that this is a place that I’ve struggled at. Running well here means a lot. It can be very frustrating at this place because it is so long to get around. But when you have a good race car to get around here with than you really look forward to coming into the next corner and doing what you need to do,” said Busch.

The pole position gives Busch the best chances to win at the tricky triangle. So far Kyle has never won at Pocono. The second position has Clint Bowyer who delivered a 169.138mph lap and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., fetched the third spot with a lap of 169.067 mph.

Kurt Busch who won Pocno two times in the past was fourth at 168.963mph and the three-time Pocono champion Denney Hamlin scored the fifth place with 168.868mph. Tony Stewart, the trophy defendant is number six with 168.840 mph, then come Juan Montoya with 186.805mph. Kasey Kahne who won in 2008 could show 168.713mph and old-timer Ryan Newman hit 168.669mph and finally 168.612mph was worth the number ten Jeff Gordon, who won Pocno already four times.

The green flag waves for the Gillette Fusion ProGlide 500 in Pocono at 1:00 p.m. Sunday.

The Gillette Fusion 500 race is held near the midpoint of the Sprint Cup schedule and is important for drivers trying to earn valuable Cup points. The Gillette Fusion 500 is one of two races held at the track—the other being the Pennsylvania 500 in early August.
