Alright, I will be the first to admit to a serious bias when it comes to horror movies. I love anything that has the potential of being utterly ridiculous, unintentionally hilarious, or just bad. I have watched so many awful 'B' movies that I am surprised my head hasn't exploded like the vampires in 'Blade'.

So when I saw the Facebook page for 'The Human Centipede' several months ago, I thought I had been gently placed on a cloud of floating bliss and sent away to enjoy the milk and honey of the angels themselves.

The movie actually has a pretty cool concept, originality-wise, as it is a crazy mix of new horror ideas, and total cliches. Two American tourists are kidnapped by a mad surgeon while visiting Germany. Their car breaks down in the woods, leading them to search out help from the only villa nearby, only to wake to find themselves being held against their will.

You end up finding out that already a third person, a Japanese man also visiting the country, has been held by the retired doctor, who says he spent his career specializing in the separation of Siamese twins. I think we all see where this is going, right?

He now wants to create the opus of his career, by making his own conjoined humans between the three tourists, connecting them all completely into one creature that shares a digestive track, and runs on their own organs, otherwise. How this would even begin to work from a basic understanding of human physiology is hard to say, but there is no doubt that it is an awesome idea for a horror flick.

The thing is, the entire concept is so ridiculous that it is going to be funny, there is no doubt about it. Extreme movies with these types of storyline premises rarely escape the trap of creating laughter, and since this low-budget will be a mostly DVD/BluRay affair, shot with basic angles and next to no editing, according to several sources, I am looking forward to the squicky-humor.
