The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launch was successful. About ten minutes ago - as of writing this post - the Falcon 9 rocket from SpaceX soared into the air with engines going strong.

It reached Earth's orbit only a few minutes ago. SpaceX should be proud of their launch. When the launch first began today, things did not look  so good for SpaceX, the rocket did not launch at the first ignition. It shut down and went into a sort of "safe mode".

However, they recycled the T zero time and "rebooted" the rocket and 15 minutes after the T zero time was reset the rocket soared over the complex and into space!

This launch signals the future of commercial and private space exploration and visits.

This launch will tell us a lot about the future of space travel and there is a lot of insight to be gained from this launch.

The Falcon 9 is designed to provide breakthrough advances in reliability, cost, flight environment and time to launch. That is exactly what this successful launch will tell us and show us.

I'm sure that today will be a day of celebration for the SpaceX executives and all those who helped in making the launch a success. SpaceX will be posting more information, photos and videos on their website: www.SpaceX.com.

The launch was quick and successful. Throughout the entire process, SpaceX provided a live video feed. In the end, you see the majestic spacecraft rise steadily into the sky and then you see its view looking down from the Earth. It is quite a sight to see.
