[/caption]If you are a coder or web developer and you have an iPad, you have doubtless been searching for an app that can handle your scripting needs. Well, I have found one. It is called Editor for iPad.
This is a text editor for iPad that utilizes syntaz highlighting for HTML, CSS, Javascript and some more languages. The web page can be previewed instantly. Editor for iPad includes more than 50 text patterns for HTML CSS3 and Javascript for quick input. Files can be uploaded/downloaded through WiFi connection from a desktop computer with any web browser.
The instant preview mode is very helpful and it looks great.
Editor for iPad is a great app with a lot of functions, however there are somethings that can be improved on it.
1. It doesn't have auto tag closing. This would be very useful for coders and it would make things a lot easier.
2. There is not FTP upload or download support.
3. There is no undo feature. This is very, very important. I know how often I have used undo. This is a must-have feature for any editing program, be it a word editing or photo editing program.
4. It doesn't remember what file type you are working on. This means that you have to select it every time which can be pretty annoying.

[/caption]5. It's designed for using an external keyboard. That is fine, however, there needs to be a mode that works flawlessly with the iPad's keyboard. Most people have an iPad so they can use it where they can't take there laptop because they don't have room to type on a keyboard. They need their iPad to work without an external keyboard so this is something that could really be improved.
All in all, it's a great app with a lot of potential. There are those things that need to be fixed, but besides that it's better than most other editors out there.
It's worth the $3.99 that it costs, so if you have been looking for a pretty good script editor for your iPad, I say you should buy it.

The above mentioned things just need to be fixed, but besides that I still recommend this app to coders, developers or even writers who need something that they can work with on the go.
