[/caption]Bloom HD is an iPad app that basically allows you to make ambient music with your iPad or, if you are feeling lazy your iPad will make ambient music for you.
The app displays a pastel multicolored screen on which you make your music. You can hid different places on the screen for different pitch in the sound. Bass notes are at the bottom, treble notes are at the top. That's the scale and with it you can make all kinds of music. This app is really interesting and strange at the same time. You can use a stereo or headphones for the best sound.
As one person said about the app, "Alien technology at its finest." Well, that is a pretty apt description of the application. You can make very many different songs for all of your moods. This app uses the iPad's screen real estate in a wonderful way.
Basically, instead of trying to cram a traditional instrument with recorded sounds onto the iPad, they started from scratch and built their own instrument.

[/caption]I'm not saying that I don't like traditional instruments on the iPad - there are many excellent traditional music app for the iPad and they're equally excellent - I just think that the developers of Bloom HD innovated and I think that they did a great job.
One thing that could be improved is that there are not different sounds that you can make, just different pitches. It would be great if the developers could add some different sounding instruments to the app.
Besides that, it's perfect. You can just get lost in the world of bright colors and music.
Priced at $3.99 Bloom HD is totally worth it. In fact, if it were more expensive it would still be fantastic. You get so much for your money.

This application is excellent. The only improvement that would make it that much better would be to add some more sounds.
I recommend this to anyone from the busy business person to the curious child. You can just use this app to have fun, relax and be creative.
