Here you can Watch the Leonid Meteor Shower Live Video/Audio Feed

This live video/audio feed is from the Nasa camera mounted NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. It’s light-activated, so it will become active at dark. You can also hear the meteors passing by.

Video clips at UstreamThe Leonid meteor showers have their peak activity between November 17 and November 18, 2010. You can expect to see about 10 to 20 meteors per hour. The comet of origin of the Leonid meteor is the comet 55P/Tempel-Tuttle. The Leonid meteor shower will seem to originate from the constellation Leo.

This year it might be difficult to see a lot, as the half-full moon will be lighting the night sky and make it difficult to watch the shooting stars.

The best bet is to go as far away from any city and then look for the darkest patch of sky you can find. Sit down, relax and you'll soon see shooting stars passing by.

You can calculate the Leonid meteor shower activity with the Fluxtimator. More about that here.

You can watch the meteor shower after dark, but it can be best seen around dawn.
