As MTV reports, the former president Bill Clinton said some nice things about Lil Wayne: Bill Clinton said, quoting his daughter that gave him a little lecture on rappers and rap music:
"Dad, you need to listen, all these people are smart. This guy's smart. And he's got abilities. And he's got a new chance now. And what I hope is that this is not just something to brand him as a cool guy, but that it'll never happen again to him."
According to MTV Wayne will throw a party at a Miami strip club to celebrate his release. Young Money President Mack Maine told MTV that Wayne's fans will "just treat him like a king, like the royalty that he is and make him feel like we really missed him and welcome him back to the family, basically."
In New York gun laws are a little different from other cities. Based on the laws of the city, you violate that law, if you carry a gun that is operational without a proper registration for that gun. There was a gun that was registered in Wayne's manager's name, which was laying near the rapper. Based on that Lil Wayne was charged with gun possession and pleaded guilty to attempted gun possession.
